According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a higher percentage of Americans is living in extreme poverty than they have ever measured before. In 2010, we were told that the economy was recovering, but the truth is that the number of the “very poor” soared to heights never seen previously. Back in 1993 and back in 2009, the rate of extreme poverty was just over 6 percent, and that represented the worst numbers on record. But in 2010, the rate of extreme poverty hit a whopping 6.7 percent. That means that one out of every 15 Americans is now considered to be “very poor”. For many people, this is all very confusing because their guts are telling them that things are getting worse and yet the mainstream media keeps telling them that everything is just fine. Hopefully this article will help people realize that the plight of the poorest of the poor continues to deteriorate all across the United States. In addition, hopefully this article will inspire many of you to lend a hand to those that are truly in need.
Tonight, there are more than 20 million Americans that are living in extreme poverty. This number increases a little bit more every single day. The following statistics that were mentioned in an article in The Daily Mail should be very sobering for all of us….
About 20.5 million Americans, or 6.7 percent of the U.S. populati

The IBERIABANK Visa® Gold Card is a great low interest rate credit card that pays cash back rewards. Like other Iberia Bank cards, you’ll need excellent credit to qualify for the lowest rate.
The rewards program is simple and straightforward – one of the easiest to understand of all reward programs. You earn 1% cash back on purchases with no limits or expiration on the rewards you can earn. You can keep your rewards as long as your account remains in good standing. The rewards may be lower than some other credit cards out there, but so is the interest rate. It’s typically a bad idea to carry a balance on rewards cards because the interest rate is so high. But carrying a balance on the IberiaBank Visa Gold would be cheaper than other rewards cards on the market.
The application process for Iberia Bank credit cards is a little more involved than it is with other credit cards. You’ll

The U.S. military has come to rely on the Global Positioning System (GPS) to conduct many of its operations. The Department of Defense (DoD) is modernizing the system—in part to better counter deliberate interference—by purchasing new satellites and upgrading the systems that control the satellites.
In a study prepared at the request of the former Chairman of the Defense Subcommittee of the House Committee on Appropriations, CBO considers the implications of modernization plans for military users and assesses how those efforts are synchronized with DoD’s efforts to improve the capabilities of its GPS receivers. The study also examines three alternatives for improving the performance of the GPS for military users and estimates the budgetary consequences of those options as well as their effect on the ability of the GPS to operate in an environment where an opponent is trying to jam GPS signals.
Results in Brief
As DoD’s GPS satellites reach the end of their service lives, the department plans to replace them with ones that can counter deliberate interference by generating stronger signals. After ex
